The history of the law firm ŠKERLJ in odvetniki, odvetniška pisarna, d.o.o., performing an independent lawyer activity, reaches back to the year 1966. The founder of the law firm is the Lawyer Anton Škerlj. His work was completed and, after his retirement, continued by the Lawyer Borut Škerlj. The limited possibilities of the organisational form of an independent Lawyer and the inclusion of new Lawyers into work led to the establishment of the law firm.

The Founding Contract was concluded on 18.11.2001. On 3.1.2002 the company was entered into the Court Register of the District Court in Novo mesto and on 24.2.2009 the company was reorganised into a Limited Liability company. It has been managed since its establishment by the Director, Lawyer Borut Škerlj.

The law firm always welcomes young Graduate Lawyers. Several legal experts have been trained in it during this time.

The business hours of the law firm are from Monday to Friday from 8.00 to 13.00 and on Wednesday, also from 15.00 to 18.00. On working days and during business hours information about their files and documents is also available to clients. The company ensures constant 24-hour on-call duty for emergency cases and the availability of Lawyers according to agreement also outside the business hours.
